Mothers Day Dinner Flower
"(Our chef) Mark Blevins has fun with holidays," says general manager Ninette Petrasch. "His creativity really shows not just on the menu, but in the reaction to the food he prepares."
Blevins was a soux chef at the General Sutter Inn 14 years ago and in those years he gravitated toward Asian and Southwestern food.
“When I came back here in 2009, I found that the style of food at the General Sutter hadn't changed,” Blevins explains. “I find Asian and southwestern flavors the most fun to work with and people really like it, too.”
The Mother's Day menu ranges from spinach and crimini mushroom ravioli to cornish game hen to mahi mahi, while the buffet includes a similar variety with different items.
“Mark changed the entire menu since he's been here,” says Petrasch “And he still does seasonal changes. He has definitely spiced up our holiday dinners and made them more fun and interesting.”
