The website, myalbanystudenthousing.com, highlights each of PPN's upscale student housing residences. Each property is featured with residence information, an image gallery and directions. The site also features local Albany information and downloadable rental documents.
"This site re-design allows Preferred Properties North, LLC to more effectively market our off-campus student housing," said Dan Kahn, owner of Preferred Properties North, LLC. Kahn also added, "Our goal is to retain tenants three or more years by providing safe, quality, and affordable student housing in a geographically desirable area centrally located to the Albany campus."
Current PPN properties are located on Washington Avenue in the Beverwyck neighborhood and Partridge Street in the Pine Hills neighborhood of Albany. These are residential areas in close proximity to their local institutions and public transportation. Public transportation is available free to college students and stops right at the front door of PPN properties.
Conveniently situated near Albany University and The College at St. Rose, residents will find a rich mixture of historic and diverse neighborhoods and an exciting variety of arts, cultural and entertainment opportunities. Albany boasts a multitude of restaurants, shops, museums, and theaters within walking distance or easily accessible by bus.
Kahn noted, “PPN's role in urban renewal is evident in the homes it currently owns, providing an overall benefit for the surrounding community.”
PPN properties are available for tenant use 365 days per year, unlike the local Albany colleges and universities who close dorms during holiday and vacation breaks. Upgrades in PPN rental homes consist of top quality materials, finishes, fixtures, along with enhanced kitchen and bathroom amenities.
PPN's standard one-year lease is June 1 through May 31. There are currently two units available for the season.
