The Conference will begin with a Welcome and Opening Remarks provided by Dr. Peter Cohen, Medical Director of the Administration, State of Maryland Alcohol & Drug Abuse Office. Session topics range from organizational updates, advancements in the field, Recovery Month updates, how to present SMART Recovery to treatment programs and referral resources, and a half day devoted to understanding the SMART Recovery tools and effectively employing them in meetings. There’s something here to interest everyone!
For a break in the action, what better than Baltimore’s Inner Harbor activities? A Friday afternoon optional tour will depart promptly from the hotel at 2:00 PM for the Inner Harbor. Options include a visit to the Aquarium, the USS Constellation, or wandering the lovely Inner Harbor. It’s a great way to network and get to know other Conference participants!
