Brae Burn Country Club Clubhouse Manager Inducted Into CMAA Honor Society

May 3, 2011 - PRLog -- WEST NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS – Phillip J. Santomaro, CCM, AAS, Clubhouse Manager of Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton, Massachusetts and member of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA) was inducted into the Club Managers Association of America’s (CMAA) prestigious Honor Society. He joins a select group of managers who have achieved this elevated status.

Mr. Santomaro earned his way into the Honor Society by fulfilling the following requirements: Achievement of 400 additional credits beyond certification with a minimum of 150 CMAA Education credits; Active membership status for a minimum of nine years; and successful completion of Business Management Institute (BMI) IV or V. Honor Society members are those managers who dedicate themselves to improving the professionalism of the club management industry and demonstrate this commitment by continually pursuing knowledge and advancement.

Mr. Santomaro has been in the club business for almost 15 years and became a member of CMAA in 2000. He achieved Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2005. Phil is originally from Providence, Rhode Island and has held several positions at Brae Burn Country Club with a successful stint as Club Manager at Norton Country Club, Norton Massachusetts in between.  Phil is excited to be joining Franklin Country Club in Franklin Massachusetts as General Manager.

The New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America, was established in 1914 and has since been a leader in the advancement of opportunities for private club managers, and foremost, students of the culinary and hospitality industries. NECMA has more than 240 members who manage more than 150 private clubs in the New England area.
