Remark Group strengthens its IT communications business credentials and accreditations

May 3, 2011 - PRLog -- LEADING IT communications firm Remark Group has strengthened its business credentials through membership to industry associations, and notched up accreditations of its own.

The Peterborough-based specialists in data cabling, audio visual equipment and business IT have recently become members of the FIA – The Fibreoptic Industry Association.

This reinforces the professionalism of the successful data cabling arm of Remark Group, which is able to provide small IT cabling contracts to complete new build IT projects.

In addition, Remark Group has also joined BICSI, and an international professional association which supports the IT systems industry – a market that the Woodston-based company has carved a niche in both locally and nationally for the past 25 years,

BICSI provides information, education and knowledge assessment to its members, who in turn are able to transfer that into delivering the best products and services to its customers.

And if that wasn’t enough, the Remark Group has also been awarded two industry accreditations of its own, which recognise both its commitment to staff health and safety, and the environment.
The OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety management system standard is awarded to companies who have successfully introduced a formal procedure to reduce the risks associated with health and safety at work.
And the ‘green’ theme that the Remark Group team has championed during recent months is further reinforced with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditation.
The standard displays a commitment to become more environmentally friendly through waste reduction, and effective recycling.
