“I was thrilled to learn Francis and Sons wanted to partner with us for a sneaker campaign,” said Jenna Smith, Corporate Development Coordinator for JDRF. “The community involvement by Francis and Sons will enhance our message and generate awareness in the Valley. We are grateful for this partnership.”
All 16 Valley locations will be participating in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations (JDRF) sneaker sales program this spring. In the fall, the car wash chain will gather its employees and their families, asking them to lace up their own sneakers to participate as a team in the JDRF Walk to Find a Cure on November 5.
“We are extremely excited and honored to be involved with this wonderful cause,” said Jeff Francis, of Francis and Sons Car Wash. “Our entire family and staff has really embraced this fundraiser and hopes to surpass the goal of $12,000.”
The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Since its inception, JDRF has provided nearly $1.3 billion to diabetes research worldwide.

About the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation:
JDRF was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes—a disease that strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent for life and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education. JDRF's mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
