Toronto Pictures and Adhara Properties start filming in Brasov

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Brasov, Transylvania -- May 2, 2011 -- Toronto Pictures Inc. and Adhara Properties Inc., film production companies founded by film director Bruno Pischiutta and film producer Daria Trifu respectively, have commenced the production of a major feature documentary about the city of Brasov. The documentary has the working title of BRASOV FEATURE DOCUMENTARY and it will have a final runtime of 90 minutes.

The documentary will showcase the beauty of the city, the art, the architecture, the history and the traditions of the past and the present reality. It will further bring to the attention of the international community the possible future developments of the cinema industry in Brasov.

BRASOV FEATURE DOCUMENTARY will feature interviews with political and business leaders of the city. The documentary will also feature interviews with many of the international actors playing roles in the upcoming feature film ABUSED IN AMERICA, who will soon be in Brasov for the shooting of the film which is scheduled to commence at the end of June.

ABUSED IN AMERICA is a major motion picture written and directed by Bruno Pischiutta and produced by Daria Trifu that explores the horrible phenomenon of child abuse in the United States of America. In keeping with Toronto Pictures and Adhara Properties’ production standard, the film will not show any violence or graphic scenes.

The BRASOV FEATURE DOCUMENTARY is produced by Adhara Properties. Credits include: Daria Trifu executive producer, Bruno Pischiutta director, Ionut Barzan director of photography, Corina Mitrache and Maria Coldea production coordinators, Gratiela Cujmir publicist, Petronela Rotar and Andreea Tincea hosts and producers.

The documentary is produced in Romanian and English languages and it is targeted to the global cinema and television audience. It will be presented and qualified by Toronto Pictures for nomination consideration at the upcoming Academy Awards®.

The production of BRASOV FEATURE DOCUMENTARY and the feature film ABUSED IN AMERICA in Brasov are only two of director Pischiutta and producer Trifu’s ongoing projects in the city. Together with their local team, they are opening the ‘Brasov Film Center’ for young Romanian and international talent as well as the ‘Brasov International Film Festival & Market’ that will attract the international community of filmmakers, film executives and international media to the city starting next year.
