The Grand Journey–A Transition in Aging Symposium welcomes you to attend a much needed educational and fun event for children of older adults, caregivers, and the senior they support. The event is free and will take place at the St. Clair Street Senior Center, 325 St. Clair Street in Murfreesboro, May 21, 2011, 10 A.M. – 2 P.M. Call the center’s front desk at (615) 848-2550 to register, deadline is May 13. We will be providing free lunch for those that register and have door prizes.
We know that children of older adults and caregivers become overwhelmed with the decision making process as loved ones age. They find themselves in unfamiliar territory and face challenges that cause physical, emotional, and financial strain. We can help with significant insight to the challenges that lay ahead, how to address those issues, and who to turn to in time of need. Additionally, a Grand Journey resource guide will be offered to complement the information acquired from participating businesses and educational seminars throughout the symposium. Seniors can enjoy the event by attending a carnival-type party.
