Summerwood 'Wine & Deli Festival' at Radisson Blu Hotel Pe

May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Summerwood ‘Wine & Deli Festival’ to be hosted at Radisson Blu this May 2011

Summerwood Primary School in Summerstrand will be hosting its 5th annual Summerwood Wine and Deli Festival at the Radisson Blu Hotel PE on Friday, 6 and Saturday, 7th May 2011 from 18h00 to 21h00.

With prestigious wine estates from all over South Africa and new deli delights  sponsored by Pick ‘n Pay, Festival attendees will be able to visit  each stand, sample various wines and gourmet offerings for a worthy cause other than pleasing ones connoisseur taste buds.  An auction will be held where wines, rugby memorabilia and game lodge packages will be auctioned.  

Tickets cost R120 per person excluding children under 18.  All proceeds will be donated to three commendable beneficiaries; Northwood Hospice Children in the Eastern Cape headed by Maureen Lamb, Yokoselo Haven based in Central Port Elizabeth, a safe haven for abused women in Port Elizabeth and its surrounds, and Summerwood Primary School  in Summerstrand.

Summerwood Acting Principal, Lüther Nel adds, “The funds raised from previous Festivals have allowed us to upgrade our facilities and expand classrooms and we are hoping to do the same this year.”

Award-winning Senior Sous Chef, Malcolm Bendrau, of Radisson Blu Hotel PE will be representing the brands of Radisson Blu, Filini Restaurant and Tabú Lounge at the Festival, with a ‘live culinary demonstration’ providing an Italian- inspired cuisine experience for all to savour and enjoy.
