Ara Oghoorian, CFA of ACap Asset Management to Co-Chair Global Partners Awards Dinner

Los Angeles, CA (May 1, 2011) - The first annual Global Partners Awards Dinner to benefit the World Children’s Transplant Fund will be held at the Sheraton Universal Hotel - Starview Room on May 12, 2011.

Ara Oghoorian, CFA is proud to not only be a WCTF board member, but co-chair of the first annual WCTF Global Partners Awards Dinner. Ara is excited to be a part of this amazing organization, which is truly changing the world, one life-saving surgery at a time. “It is an honor to be co-chairing the first annual Global Partners Awards Dinner with William Rinehart. We are planning a wonderful evening, and expect a great turnout to honor some of the invaluable people who help make these life-savings surgeries possible for children around the world.” - Ara Oghoorian, CFA of ACap Asset Management.

The purpose of the Global Partners Awards Dinner, hosted by Lorenzo Lamas, is to honor Carroll Shelby, Dr. Vartkes Najarian, and executive directors from Mexico and Armenia, Dr. Federico Mendoza Sanches and Maria Yeganian, respectively. All proceeds from the Global Partners Awards Dinner will go directly to facilitate life-saving pediatric organ transplants for children around the world through the World Children’s Transplant Fund.

The gala is the primary fundraiser for the World Children’s Transplant Fund which was established in 1988, but truly began long before when Mr. Kroeker worked tirelessly to raise funds and bring a little girl from Argentina to the United States for life-saving liver transplant surgeries. Thus began his life-long endeavor to provide as many opportunities as possible for lifesaving pediatric transplant surgery to children of the world through the World Children’s Transplant Fund. "When the children of our world die needlessly and without hope, a piece of us dies with them whether we know it or not. And when we help just one to live, we find a small piece of immeasurable, indescribable joy." --Mark A. Kroeker, WCTF Founder

Individual tickets to the gala are $250 and can be purchased by calling Iris Caplan at
