Oh Baby! Fitness Gives the Gift of Fitness with Free Classes During Mother’s Day Weekend

Select prenatal and postnatal fitness classes are free on May 7 and 8 in Atlanta and Savannah, Ga.

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, Ga. — Oh Baby! Fitness, which offers the widest variety of pregnancy and mom & baby exercise classes in the country is giving the gift of fitness with free classes at select locations in Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., on May 7 and 8.

“Helping moms exercise safely in the company of fellow moms during pregnancy and after giving birth is what Oh Baby! Fitness is all about,” says Clare Schexnyder, founding mom of Oh Baby! Fitness. “In six years, we’ve helped more than 10,000 moms in Georgia incorporate prenatal and postnatal fitness into their lives, and fostered a community of support.”

Adds Schexnyder, “Free classes this month is just one way we’d like to recognize moms and moms-to-be for being a part of the Oh Baby! Fitness community.” Free classes include water, toning, stroller workout, Pilates and yoga at the following locations: Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, Agnes Scott College, Piedmont Hospital Health and Fitness Club, City Club of Buckhead Athletic Club and Spa, DeKalb Medical Center, Chatham County Aquatic Center (Savannah), North Fulton Hospital (Roswell), Piedmont Park and Urban Body Studios (Atlanta).

Reservations are required to secure a free class spot. Class sizes are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. One free class per mom. When registering on the website for Oh Baby! Fitness, select your preferred class for May 7 or 8, then enter “gift certificate” when prompted for “payment option.”
                                                                                 
A note about exercising while pregnant: The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends 30 minutes of aerobic activity on most days of the week while pregnant. Exercise during pregnancy can help control weight gain, shorten labor, reduce the chance of a c-section birth and help relieve the common complaints of pregnancy (including back pain, leg cramps, swelling, constipation and insomnia).
