May 2011 “Art For Japan” Ebay Art Auctions Help Support Japan With Art

The "Art For Japan" auctions are a new series of ongoing Ebay auctions designed to give national artists 
and illustrators a creative outlet to help support aid and rehabilitation in Japan. Sister artists Meg 
Hunt and Alice Hunt came up with the idea out of a desire to help Japan and involve their 
existing community of artists and illustrators. The "Art For Japan" auctions are running on Ebay the 
entire month of May, with auction updates every Tuesday and Thursday. 

All funds raised will be donated to AmeriCares and tagged for Japan
relief. AmeriCares, a nonpartisan and nondenominational organization, uses 99% of its revenue 
on it's charitable programs.



The first round of art auctions is currently live and features the art of Jen Wang, Debbie Ohi, Liza 
Ferneyhough, Jess Fogel, Jade Sheldon, Emory Allen, Diego Bergia, Kim Rosen, Kathy Weller 
of WellerWishes, Val Kung, Maho Satoh, Mary Ruth Patchin, Louise Chin, and Rachel 
Dougherty.
