Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter seeks Pet Calendar Photo Contest King and Queen

May 1, 2011 - PRLog -- In the spirit of the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is holding a pet calendar photo contest to crown a King and Queen of Mutts Mania 2011, the Shelter's largest annual fundraising event.

The top 13 winners will be featured in the Shelter's 2012 pet photo calendar.  The pet that gets the highest number of votes will grace the cover of the calendar while the other 12 pets will be the highlight of a particular month.  Another 6 pets will be chosen as "Royal Court" by a panel of judges, from which the King and Queen of Mutts Mania 2011 will be crowned.  Enter and vote today!

The contest begins at 12:01 am on May 1, 2011 and ends on July 15, 2011 at midnight.  The calendars will be unveiled at Mutts Mania 2011 which takes place on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Lurker Park in East Hanover, NJ from noon till 4pm.  They will also be available for purchase at the event.    The King and Queen will also be announced at that time.

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is a no kill, nonprofit animal welfare organization that is 100% privately funded.  The organization provides exceptional care for homeless animals while promoting spaying/neutering, microchipping and humane education.  Mt.
