Mother Your Diabetes During the Month of May

April 29, 2011 - PRLog -- (New York, NY) As sons, daughters, husbands and friends show their love for special ladies on the second Sunday of this month, Divabetic, a national health and wellness nonprofit, encourages people living with, at risk of and affected by diabetes to pamper themselves with a mother’s love to prevent and manage a disease that will impact more than a third of the United States population by the year 2050.

Divabetic’s month of motherly love kicks off with Diva TalkRadio Diabetes Spotlight on Tuesday, May 3 at 6:00 p.m. as Mr. Divabetic interviews Philadelphia podiatrist Maasi J. Smith, DPM, Founder and Director of Rittenhouse Foot and Ankle Associates and manufacturer of Dr. Smith’s Foot Care, a complete line of natural foot care products. Then, on Tuesday, May 10 at 6:00 p.m., Diva TalkRadio Diabetes Roundtable features an all-star cast including Divabetic’s Charlie’s Angels of Diabetes Outreach (certified diabetes educators from around the country) and whirlwind with a wow segments: Diabetes Numerology with Judith A., a diva contestant from Schenectady, NY; Makeover in a Minute with celebrity makeup artist Yago “Stay Pretty” Jones on how to stay a red-hot mama; Dining out with a Dietitian at the Cheesecake Factory; Food Aisle Face-Off and, fittingly, Mother Your Diabetes self-care commentary.  Plus, Mr. Divabetic will monitor his blood pressure during the show to raise awareness of National Stroke Awareness Month.
