Adding to the fun, visitors who take a photo and check-in at the event on Facebook will be entered for a chance to win a free sailing class. Visitors without a Facebook account can enter to win at the TISC information booth. People who sign up for a sailing or water sports class during the event will receive 10 percent off, offer valid only on Opening Day.
All visitors will be entered to win door prizes, including cheese and a gift basket from Point Reyes Station artisan cheese makers Cowgirl Creamery (http://www.cowgirlcreamery.com/
Treasure Island Sailing Center will also be handing out coupons from Treasure Island Wines for complimentary artisan wine and cheese tastings to event visitors over the age of 21. Coupons will only be valid after sailing, on the day of Opening Day, April 30, and only during winery business hours from 12 to 4 p.m.

A barbecue lunch will be available for $3 per person, $10 for families of four, with scholarships available for those in need.

Over the last 11 years, TISC has engaged over 9,000 youth and adults in the joy of sailing! In 2010 alone, TISC is proud to have provided over 9,373 hours of instruction to 990 participants, with a 30 percent return rate to ensure that children are connecting to the sport of sailing and participating in our positive, sailing community. Staying true to our mission, TISC provided 62 percent of its youth participants with scholarships to attend our programs.
TISC offers unlimited scholarships to those who fit the financial criteria. Full scholarships are available for families with a household income of $30,000 or less, or for families on a government assistance program. Partial Scholarships (50 percent off the class price) are available for families with a household income of less than $65,000.
