Overnight Sports Camp Provides Excellent Opportunities

April 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The skills and memories summer camp provides can last a lifetime.  Since  camp is often the first time a child is away from home for an extended period of time, it's a great opportunity to experience independence in a safe and supervised setting with other children their age.  At Baylor, we combine sports with overnight "camp" in dormitories and excellent athletic facilities to create an exciting summer  for kids throughout the southeast

Making Camp Home
Once you’ve decided to attend one of Baylor’s overnight sports camps, you may have questions about activities beyond the athletic instruction that takes place during the day.  Our overnight sports campers reside in one of Baylor’s dormitories where we provide 24-hour supervision by trained and experienced camp counselors and staff.  Spending the night away from home in a camp setting can be intimidating for many first time campers but our camps are so fun they don't even think about the fact that they are living away from home.  We also provide nutritious and great-tasting buffet meals prepared by our professional dining hall staff.  When there is downtime, our overnight sports campers enjoy relaxing and hanging out in Baylor's student center.  

The Full Experience
In addition to receiving outstanding athletic instruction from highly qualified coaches and staff members, our overnight campers enjoy living in the dorms with their friends and learning important leadership lessons from our experienced and trained staff and counselors.  The experiences and lessons learned will leave a lasting impression on young campers.
