PRLog - April 27, 2011 - Greenfield, MA – Ford of Greenfield is bringing Ford Motor Company’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Greenfield community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Greenfield High School. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at Greenfield High on May 7, Ford of Greenfield and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Greenfield High School. The funds will go toward a fundraising drive to bring Rachel’s Challenge back to GHS. This follow-up presentation in honor of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School, is aimed to motivate students to make a positive change in the way they treat others.
“Drive One 4 UR School is a great way for our dealership and the local community to partner on a fun and simple way to raise money for the High School,” said Chris Pinardi, Service Director at Ford of Greenfield. “All you need is a driver’s license and five minutes. Hopefully, we’ll get a large turnout and hit our fundraising goal.” The event, which will be held from 9 AM to 5 PM, will feature several of Ford’s innovative line-up of vehicles including the Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Edge, and Escape.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events have generated over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide. Locally, Ford of Greenfield participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program last spring and raised just over $4,300 for Turners Falls High School.
To participate, please visit Greenfield High School, located at 1 Lenox Street in Greenfield, between 9 AM and 5 PM on May 7. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license.
