AIIM First Canadian Chapter Announces Ottawa Satellite, Hosts eDiscovery Panel on May 12, 2011

Toronto AIIM First Canadian Chapter is pleased to announce expansion into Ottawa. First Ottawa event: Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Ottawa Public Library, Main Branch on topic “E-Discovery: Issues and Trends that Impact Canadian Organizations.”

April 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Ottawa/Toronto - The Toronto AIIM First Canadian Chapter is pleased to announce its expansion into Ottawa. For over 60 years AIIM - http://aiim.org - has been the leading non-profit organization, helping users understand the challenges associated with managing documents, content, records, and business processes. With over 75,000 members and a network of 34 chapters internationally, AIIM provides neutral and unbiased information to serve the needs of its members and the enterprise content management industry.

The first Ottawa chapter event will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Ottawa Public Library, Main Branch. The theme of the event will be “E-Discovery: Issues and Trends that Impact Canadian Organizations.” With an expert panel that includes Dominic Jaar, National Leader, eDiscovery and Information Management, KPMG LLP, and Stephen Ludlow, Senior Program Manager, eDiscovery and Information Governance Solutions, Open Text, this educational event will have information relevant to information management practitioners in both public and private sector.

“We're very supportive of our current and prospective members in the Ottawa/Gatineau region,” says Winnie Tsang, President of the Toronto First Canadian Chapter. “We're pleased to work with the Ottawa planning committee to help make this inaugural event a success, and build a strong foundation for activities over the remainder of 2011 and into 2012.”
