About Skoff and Sam
Three years ago artwork began popping up on the streets of Chicago. Skoff left his paintings on the street, free to be taken by anyone who wanted it. At first, people looked and kept walking; unsure as to whether or not they were allowed to take it. Even then, the artwork did not sit long. That’s how Skoff met Sam. She was an early receipt of one of his pieces and contacted him to find out more about what he was doing. The two have been collaborating ever since. They believe everyone deserves to own an original work of art and have made it their mission to provide art at an affordable price. Blick was an early supporter of their work and now the painters use solely their supplies.

About ‘Art Hunts’
With the rise of social media, Skoff is able to effectively communicate his idea of ‘hunting’ for free art in Chicago. People search for paintings based on pictures sent from his Twitter account, which is also connected to his Facebook fan page. His Facebook account doubles as a daily diary of what he is working on and past accomplishments. Both have served to not only create publicity for him but to also connect him with people willing to pay for his work. Nowadays, Skoff lives solely off his art.
