By: Comit PR UMass Dartmouth has been awarding undergraduate degrees, masters and doctorates in a wide variety of specialities including business, arts and science, engineering, nursing, technology and marine science since 1895. The University recently created the state’s first public law school. In addition, the University is expanding its outreach to alumni and deepening its connections to the surrounding community. As part of its ongoing growth strategy, UMass Dartmouth decided to overhaul its entire online presence. TERMINALFOUR Site Manager, web content management solution, has been rolled out across more than 100 sites initially and this process is continuing. The newly developed website is now the primary point of contact between UMass Dartmouth and the millions of prospective American students that enter the third-level education market every year. In addition, the website is the key information resource for the University’s 360 faculty members, its 9,432 current students and 40,000 alumni. UMass Dartmouth Webmaster Donald King, said, “Our website is the first port of call for any potential students deciding on their undergraduate or graduate options and for our other stakeholders. TERMINALFOUR’ “With the publishing restrictions of the previous site removed we are finding that the information on the website is continuously updating and is now much more relevant for all our audiences.” TERMINALFOUR Site Manager has brought additional functionality to the website, allowing the university to create and personalise user content. In enabling non-technical faculty and staff members to publish their own content without recourse to web specialists, it has improved the quality and timeliness of information available online for the many prospective and current students. It is also expediting the deployment of new web applications by the university’s highly skilled web team and IT department. Piero Tintori, CEO and founder of TERMINALFOUR, said, “With 75 university customers under our belt we have a lot of experience in this sector and now deliver web solutions to some of the world’s most prestigious and information rich universities. “We have taken the opportunity to learn from each implementation and use this knowledge in the development of our software. We now have one of the most modern and intuitive web content management solutions on the market.” -Ends- About TERMINALFOUR TERMINALFOUR is one of the fastest growing web content management companies in the world.
