Mary Gloeckner Named to Critical Position with WOCNCB

Mary Gloeckner RN, MS, CWON, APN, elected in 2010 to the Board of Directors of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB®), has been named Board Liaison to the Professional Growth Program (PGP) Committee.

April 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Milwaukee, WI  April 25, 2011  Mary Gloeckner RN, MS, CWON, APN, elected in 2010 to the Board of Directors of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB®), has been named Board Liaison to the Professional Growth Program (PGP) Committee. The PGP Committee and Ms. Gloeckner have been instrumental in the launch of the new online portfolio system. This sophisticated data collection system tracks and records activities of specialty nurses to provide evidence of continual learning and professional growth in an effort to maintain their credentials.

Ms. Gloeckner, Wound, Ostomy Clinical Nurse Specialist, has been employed at the Trinity Medical Center for 33 years. She is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Wound, Ostomy Nurse (CWON®), serves on the board of the Friends of Ostomates Worldwide and is also currently President of the Quad City Ostomy Association.  

According to WOCNCB President Diana Gallagher, “We are very fortunate to have Mary on our board. Her education (MS, Medical-Surgical Nursing) and training (Board Certified Ostomy Care and Wound Care) have prepared her well to serve in this key position.
