Walk The Talk for Japan

April 25, 2011 - PRLog -- GOODYEAR, Ariz. (March 23, 2011) — After the horror of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Japan earlier this month, local photographer and owner of CowGirlZen Photography, KL Terace, knew she wanted to help those affected. After brainstorming with Rosemarie Strout the event Walk the Talk for Japan came to life.  

Terace and Strout have teamed up with the Save the Children Foundation in order to ensure that 100 percent of the funds from the concert and auction go directly to the children affected in Japan. The Foundation estimates at least 100,000 children are currently displaced.
“The earthquake, tsunami and aftershocks have left peril and fear in to the everyday lives of the Japanese people,” said Terace. “I felt that each of us could do our parts in reaching out to a country in need, especially to help its children.”

The Walk the Talk fundraiser will take place April 30 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Hampton Inn and Suites, 2000 N. Litchfield Rd. The event will include a concert by pop artist Mandi Leigh and a silent auction of artwork and services/gift certificates. Tickets cost $25 per person, $35 for couples or $45 for family of four ($5 for each additional family member after four). All donations to Save the Children are tax deductable.
