A Grey Crane circled the family's pond looking for a stray fish.  The Crane, a master fisherman, knew where to look and when to stand still.

Dr. David Keyes family had returned from a trip to the lake.  They did not know but two cranes were circling the family's home waiting to take the plunge.  In a matter of 30 minutes, the Keyes' family was no more. Nothing remained except for the sole witness, Dr. Keyes. The guardian was asleep and his wife and children murdered by two not so common criminals.

David Keyes' world was shattered and with it the Earth moved.  He sank into a state of despair aided by drugs and alcoholism.  

Knowing his importance, the devil, known as Amilus, attempted to convince David into giving up and challenged him to "acknowledge" the futility of human existence. He taunted him with the "absurdity" of what it meant to be a human on our planet when Chaos ruled supreme.

Dr. Keyes, however, would find himself at the pivotal point along the sphere of time.  His world was coming to an end but at the same time he found a new beginning.

A fragment of the asteroid 3 Juno was on a direct collision course with the planet Earth. The knowledge of this event had long been forgotten and only recently discovered during an archeology dig in Israel at the location of the battle between David and Goliath in the Elah Valley near Jerusalem.

Reluctantly, David became God's champion to protect the "seed" of humanity against the inevitable impact of the 3 Juno asteroid fragment.  

Much like the biblical Job, David would be tempted by Amilus time and again as well as given the command by God to "Brace yourself like a man, I will question you and you shall answer me."  

For the continued survival of mankind, David chose to shepherd the seed of humanity. David was the guardian of this new Ark conceived by God himself and built by the very archaeologist who discovered the lost scroll fragment, Jonah Lamb.

David was the sole witness to the destruction of mankind and every living thing on Earth. He alone learned of the curse of his Earth as well as the secret and promise of the Earth to come.
