April 25, 2011 - PRLog -- On May 1, 2011 at 1PM, Don Walsh will plunge into the Atlantic at Brielle Rd Beach in Manasquan, NJ in what is believed to be a record-breaking ocean swim.

Don Walsh—bridge inspector for the County of Monmouth, New Jersey, Vietnam veteran, swim master, Navy SEAL candidate mentor—has swum every month for 10 years in open water. His swimming has included circling Key West (12.5 miles), Manhattan (28.5 miles) and the Isle of Jersey (41.5 miles).

This month, he swims to save kids, in honor of Childhood Drowning Prevention Month.

One child drowns every minute of every day. Rebecca Wear Robinson, social entrepreneur and CEO of Jabari Of The Water, is determined to change that. She is proud to be supporting Don Walsh’s record-breaking swim and his tireless efforts to teaching others to swim.
