Office Divvy ™ co-founder Lisa Schenone Ekinci gives quick background of the relationship with Helen Rake:
“We’ve known Helen Rake for more than two years professionally, and are big fans of Helen. We supported Helen with her plastic bottle cap collection efforts over the last year, resulting in the collection of over 25 lbs. of plastic caps thanks to our members. It is through Helen we’ve learned that majority of plastic bottle caps do not get recycled; ending up as litter or trash, and migrating into our rivers and oceans. Birds and marine creatures mistake them for food with tragic results. This creates a significant pollution problem is devastating to our oceans and wildlife. Our company team and dozens of Office Divvy ™ members supported Helen’s effort, which only strengthened our relationship, now making it easy to follow her leadership and join the Northeast Florida Green Chamber. ”
