Corporal Dan Creamer of the Lincoln & Welland Regiment will speak at the Rotary Club Night of a Thousand Dinners, a fundraiser for landmine eradication, on May 5, 2011.

St. Catharines, ON – April 18, 2011— Corporal Dan Creamer completed a tour of duty with the Canadian forces near Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2008. He will reflect on his personal experience and provide a visual account of what had taken place during his tour of duty.

The event is being organized by the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Sunrise.  The proceeds from this event will be put towards demining activities in Afghanistan.  There are presently 7 million land mines in Afghanistan.  Demining will make the area safe for civilian inhabitants, soldiers and humanitarian and aid workers to carry out there important work.  

Tickets for the event are $50.00 ea.
