Durgadevi Trust and Rotary Presented Scholarship to 480 Students

Durgdevi trust & Rotary club distribute scholarship to 480 rural students.
 
April 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Durgadevi Trust and Rotary Club of Pune North have taken a positive mission to help rural talents. In a program organised at New English School, Durgadevi Trust and Rotary Club presented scholarship to 480 students from 13 villages at the hands of renowned literate and academician Dr. N M Joshi. Dr N M Joshi presented cheque of Rs 1500/- to the students. These villages include Narayangaon, Khed, Junnar, Mahad, Goregaon, Khadakwasala, Bhor, Satara, Baramati, Daund, Karjat, Patalganga and Shreewardhan. Also rotary clubs in these respective towns play important role for identifying eligible schools and students for the scholarship. Kuldeep Joshi. K G Venkyatesh both trustees of Durgadevi Trust, Ashok Malhotra, president of Rotary Club of Pune North were present on the Dias.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Joshi said that students who received scholarship shall concentrate to achieve excellence in their academic career and shall always think for his contribution towards patriotism and national progress. Mission undertaken by Durgadevi Trust and Rotary Club is need of the hour and there is need that various social organizations should come together to run such many more missions. Kuldeep Joshi said that trust has concentrated its activities with a focus on teachers and students. Trust is offering contribution to needy and talent students in rural area in form of Scholarships, Providing text books, sports scholarship, paying interest of education loan and even giving mortgage free loan assistance to students.

Mahendra Ganpule, head master of Dev high school near Narayangaon said that Durgadevi Trust has offered scholarship to the standards of 8/9 and 10th students in rural area which was very much essential. Dr Jawahar Shaha, president of Rotary Club of Satara Said that with the help of such scholarship we all should try to eradicate illiteracy in rural area. Krishna Kale and Supriya Kharate both recipient of scholarship also spoke on the occasion. Rotary member Ravi Dhotre compared the function, and Vishnu Prakash proposed vote of thanks.
