Post Rock Festival in Brighton – First Line Up Announcements for NWfA 2011

April 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Local post rock label Nice Weather for Airstrikes make first line up announcements for the NWfA Festival 2011.

In the first of a series of weekly line up announcements, the label have confirmed the following bands for the third annual Nice Weather for Airstrikes Festival at the Druids Arms in Brighton:

The Strange Death of Liberal England
Last Days of Lorca
The Continuous Battle of Order
Juffage
Speak Galactic

To coincide with the announcements, the post rock and shoegaze label are also giving away free downloads via its Facebook page exclusively for its fans, starting with an acoustic version of Last Days of Lorca favourite (climb).

Every Monday until the 7th of May, the label will make a further line up announcement via its Facebook page and post more free content available to fans.

Held at the Druids Arms in Brighton over the May bank holiday weekend (27-30th), the NWfA festival is now in its third year. Organised by local label and promoters Nice Weather for Airstrikes, the festival showcases the best up and coming post rock and shoegaze artists in the UK, along with more established names such as The Strange Death of Liberal England.

Although it may be expected that a label would only host artists on its roster, the NWfA festival features post rock bands from across the country, regardless of affiliation to promote forward thinking, innovative post rock, shoegaze and math rock as a whole.

The 4 day post rock extravaganza is free to enter. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings see bands take the stage at 8pm with DJs taking over from midnight until 3am. The Monday sees a more stripped down, relaxed atmosphere focused on electronic, ambient and acoustic artists from 3pm until midnight.

The festival is part of the Brighton Fringe Festival and is sponsored by InsuranceDeskDotNet, in association with Jack Daniels.
