Calypso 2 Sailing Catamaran Charters and Dolphin Watching Tours Launches New Website.

April 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Calypso 2 began operations in the Destin, Florida area as a sailing club and sailing school at the beginning of the 2004 Florida tourism season. A series of bad hurricane years and the 2010 BP oil spill have provided challenges to the industry as a whole in the Destin and Sandestin areas of Florida. Through it all Calypso 2 has managed to maintain a core group of loyal clients and has grown organically through “word of mouth” advertising.  This year, in a push to expand the company, Captain James Russell commissioned the creation of a new website to provide an online presence for his sailing charter business.  

On Wednesday April 20, 2011 Calypso 2 Sailing Catamaran Charters announced the launch of its newly minted website (www.SailCalypso2.com) providing information about the company and services which it delivers.

The website provides information about Calypso 2, a 34’ sailing catamaran, as well as her captain, Jim Russell. It also has pages dedicated to the history of the pirate Billy Bowlegs, local weather conditions, beach conditions, live streaming video of the Destin beaches, and video of a dolphin watching tour on the sailing catamaran.

Calypso 2 provides travelers to the beaches of South Walton, Sandestin Resort, and Destin Florida an alternative activity or attraction to enjoy during their stay. The Calypso 2 Offers tours during its day sailing schedule such as dolphin watching, pirate history of the Destin area, snorkeling and sunset and champagne cruises. Visitors to Calypso 2 can even try their hand at fishing, although the Calypso 2 does not claim to be a fishing charter. While vacationers will not be fishing for marlin from this boat,  they can drop a line in the water and try their luck with smaller fare such as king mackerel.

Calypso 2 is a Sailing Catamaran built by Prout Yacht builders.
