Local Lawn Care Supplier Opens Garden Center, Promotes Locally Grown Plants and Produce

Seed Planters Supply, a local lawn care retailer, has recently opened a Garden Center to provide fresh, locally grown produce and plants to members of the community.

PRLog - Apr. 22, 2011 - HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Seed Planters Supply, a prominent local business in Huntersville, North Carolina, is proud to announce the opening of its new Garden Center. As an expansion of the business that offers access to products grown in the community, this addition to the store will allow customers to purchase fresh and locally grown plants, flowers, and produce all week long.

Gary Sorensen, the owner of Seed Planters Supply, is committed to supporting local growers and fellow small businesses, as well as the natural environment of the Carolinas. For this reason, Seed Planters Supply carries products that are locally produced and that will not harm the environment. After over a decade of providing lawn care products to local residents, the employees of Seed Planters Supply have developed a keen understanding concerning which grass seed mixtures, fertilizers, and other resources work best in the Carolina climate while also protecting the environment.

The new Garden Center is an extension of this commitment. "Everything in the Garden Center has been grown locally," commented Sorensen. "That's key. We really believe in supporting the local economy and in protecting the environment, so when we expanded the business we saw it as the perfect opportunity to do just that."

The new Garden Center is open for business and features perennial and annual flowers, as well as produce. Fresh fruits and vegetables, such as tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers, are all available. The produce section of the Garden Center is much like a Farmer's Market, except this one is open all week long—allowing members of the community to stock up on fresh produce whenever it is convenient for them.

"We are very excited about this," said Sorensen. "Seed Planters Supply has been a part of the community for a long time now, and we are happy to be able to enhance what we have to offer to its residents. With the opening of the Garden Center we have been able to expand Seed Planters Supply in a way that honors our two most important commitments: to meet the needs of our customers and to promote local business."

Individuals interested in visiting the new Garden Center are welcome on Monday thru Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, and Saturday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. Seed Planters Supply is closed on Sundays.
