IIFT SURAT AT WEE'2011: Taking A Step Towards Promoting Women Entrepreneurship

In today’s changing times, women are walking alongside men in our drive towards Growth & Excellence.  Therefore, in order to promote women entrepreneurship among the students, International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) has participated in the WEE (Women Entrepreneur Exhibition) 2011, which has been organized by the ladies wing of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) at Surat International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat from Friday 22nd Apr., 2011 to develop the skills of women entrepreneurs.  

The entire team of IIFT SURAT believes that all women are endowed with innate power that can make them successful entrepreneurs. Therefore, IIFT SURAT always keeps on organizing various creative workshops to motivate the students.

One such creative workshop came in to the light at International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) on Thursday, April 21, 2011 between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm by an art workshop specialist, Mr. Gajendra Majithia who shared with the students his creative skills in T-shirt painting workshop, organized by International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT). Around 30-40 students participated in this workshop & we were swayed away by his painting skills & the enthusiasm level of each & every students was on peak.

These T-shirts & many more creative apparels & accessories, designed by the students of IIFT SURAT will be exhibited at WEE’2011 exhibition for aspiring them to become successful entrepreneurs. IIFT SURAT is grateful to the members of SGCCI for organizing WEE’2011. It is a platform where women entrepreneurs can display their products, not only to the local people, but also to the visitors from other states and also international buyers. The exhibition will prove to be the most effective tool to reach to the actual consumers.

We hope we could get more such golden opportunities at IIFT SURAT.
