Celebrating Earth Day with positive environment news headlines
 
April 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Earth  Day is a day to bring awareness to our environment and appreciate our natural resources. Gaylord Nelson, then a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, founded the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970. His focus was on the Untied States, but Denis Hayes coordinated a national organization in 1990 which was held in 141 nations. Today, earth Day is coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and has more than 175 countries that participate in its celebration.

In honor of Earth Day 2011 I decided to find some positive news headlines to share with you. Happy Earth Day!


Relocated Gulf pelicans return to old, new homes

   * Scientists from Stanford University and the University of California at Davis have crunched the numbers and come up with a plan for how the world might economically and feasibly make the move to renewable energy in the next 20 to 40 years.
