Riverwalk A&E District Celebrates Moms’ Heavenly Ways With “My Mother’s A Saint!” Contest

April 21, 2011 - PRLog -- FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.  – In honor of mothers everywhere and the “saintly” acts they perform every day, Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District is hosting the “My Mother’s a Saint!” getaway contest. One lucky mom will enjoy a two-day, one-night Fort Lauderdale getaway for four, including:

•   Complimentary admission for up to four people to Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale’s major exhibition Vatican Splendors: A Journey through Faith and Art, presented by Holy Cross Hospital in association with PNC Bank and AutoNation
•   Two-day, one-night stay for up to four people in one deluxe guestroom at the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Boulevard
•   Winner’s choice of either lunch or dinner for four at YOLO (You Only Live Once) restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard
•   $50 gas card

To enter, contestants can go to the Facebook registration form under the “My Mother’s a Saint!” tab at http://www.facebook.com/RiverwalkAE or mail their entry to “My Mother’s a Saint,” Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW 5th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Mail-in entries require the contestant’s first and last name, mailing address, valid e-mail address, and daytime phone number with the words “My Mother’s a Saint” Contest on a 3x5 card. All entries (Facebook and mail-in) must be received between April 19 and 10 a.m. on April 28, 2011.  

The winner will be randomly selected on April 29, 2011, and the prize must be redeemed and used between April 30-May 8, 2011, based on availability.

The contest is open to people ages 21 and older at time of entry. No purchase is necessary to enter. All contest entrants must be able to be contacted by phone and email. Void where prohibited. Certain restrictions apply. Officers, directors and employees of the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Riverwalk A&E District, and Performing Arts Center Authority and their immediate families are not eligible to win.

Vatican Splendors, one of the largest collections of art, documents and historically significant objects from the Vatican ever to tour North America, is presented by Holy Cross Hospital in association with PNC Bank and AutoNation. Vatican Splendors’ nearly 200 objects, many of which have never been on public view, include paintings, mosaics, sculpture, jewels, intricately embroidered silk vestments, uniforms of the Papal Swiss Guard, as well as an elaborately decorated gold and silver reliquary containing bone fragments of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The Museum of Art is located at One East Las Olas Boulevard at Andrews Avenue.
