Using Technology to Deliver Healthcare—Dinner and Discussion

April 20, 2011 - PRLog -- MEDFORD, Ore—Learn about the newest advances in medical technology and how they are improving health and healthcare in the Rogue Valley at, “Using Technology to Deliver Healthcare,” a free dinner and discussion event on Thursday, Apr. 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Smullin Health Education Center on the Rogue Valley Medical Center campus in Medford.

Jennifer Brusca, MSEd, RN-BC, Nursing Professional Development at RVMC, will take you on a trip through the latest technological advancements in healthcare from TomoTherapy for cancer care to endovascular labs in surgery, electronic medical records, imaging, fully automated chemistry systems in the lab, new techniques in pharmacy, and premature baby care.

New technology is also improving nurse training. Brusca will take the audience on a guided tour of the new simulation lab (Simlab) at the Smullin Center; used for advance training of nurses and other caregivers in a hospital setting.
