April 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Smartware Group, Inc., www.bigfootcmms.com, the premier provider of Bigfoot CMMS (computerized maintenance management software) for the maintenance management of facilities and operations equipment, reported 28 percent growth in the first quarter of 2011, compared to the same quarter last year, and 10 percent growth over the previous quarter.

Smartware Group also added 20 new clients in Q1 2011, continuing its expansion in the manufacturing sector with eight customers, and entering new industries including publishing, mining and exploration, environmental, aircraft and aviation services, real estate development and others.

“With major disasters dominating the headlines, from the recent nuclear reactor meltdown in Japan to last year’s devastating oil spill, shoring up maintenance of critical equipment that affects people’s lives has become a ‘front and center’ issue,” said Paul Lachance, president and co-founder.

“CMMS products like Bigfoot have become essential tools for proactively managing the maintenance of assets, from production machines to energy systems to water treatment plants, so that problems are solved before emergency breakdowns occur.  Bigfoot not only contributes to the bottom line, but the health, safety and efficiency of company environments.”
