Vocabulary Builder for Reading Levels 2.0 to 4.0

April 23, 2011 - PRLog -- e Skills Minimod Vocabulary Builder has been developed to help students practice, master and expand their vocabulary.  It has been carefully aligned with the new Core Curriculum Standards. The reading levels have been carefully controlled using the Spache and Dale-Chall Readability Formulas.

Ways to Play  

Practice Level A student will be asked how many questions he/she would like to attempt and at what reading level. The student is provided a vocabulary word and a choice of definitions. An incorrect reply will give the student an opportunity to review the sentence with the vocabulary word and definitions and answer correctly the next time.

Single Player The student plays a bingo-like game against the computer. Correctly matching the vocabulary word with its definition allows the student to place a marker on the game card. Five markers in a row - horizontally, vertically, or diagonally - wins the game.


Multi Player The student plays a bingo-like game against another student(s). Answering a question correctly allows the student to place a marker on the game card. The first student to get five markers in a row - horizontally, vertically, or diagonally - wins the game.


Levels of Difficulty

Red Level Reading Levels 2.0 to 2.5

Blue Level Reading Levels 2.5 to 3.0

Green Level Reading Levels 3.0 to 3.5

Purple Level Reading Levels 3.5 to 4.0
