April 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Opposition to the Tea Party Movement is no longer held by couch-potato activists alone.  At the Kingsport Tea Party Rally on April 15, 2011, newly elected Washington County Democratic Chairman Jordan Huffman spirited Democrats and Anti-Tea Partiers from the Tri-Cities area to join together to meet the Tea Partiers at their Tax Rally turf.  Demonstrators wanted to let the Tea Party know that the Tea Party is not everyone's favorite cup of tea.

The counter-demonstration to the Tea Party rally had men, women and children waving signs at passerbys carrying the message that at least some citizens want an America that cares.  Jobs, Health and Hope were at the forefront of their waving demonstration, while other signs denounced the Tea-Party views that many now identify as right-wing extremism.  Honks from car, trucks and public vehicles, as well as quick waves and more than a few thumbs-up were frequent enough to let the Tea Party know that they're not having the only party in town.

Are there more counter-demonstrations to come?  Chairman Jordan Huffman says "This is only the beginning."
