THE SMASHING PUMPKINS' BILLY CORGAN JOINS AAW AT 115 BOURBON STREET ON FRIDAY, MAY 13TH 2011
Former ECW/WWE stars Sabu and the Blue World Order also on card

AAW: Professional Wrestling Redefined returns to 115 Bourbon Street (3359 W. 115th Street in Merrionette Park, IL) on Friday, May 13th 2011 with "Epic". "After the huge success that 'Path of Redemption' was at 115 Bourbon Street in February, it was inevitable that we'd be back.",  said AAW General Manager Danny Daniels. "The fans in Chicago have been craving something big and original from the independent wrestling scene, so we thought ' How do we top ourselves?'. 'Epic' is how." "Path of Redemption" on February 11th drew the largest professional wrestling crowd ever at 115 Bourbon Street and AAW started the planning for "Epic" the next morning. "I had fans coming up to me after 'Path of Redemption' thanking us for giving them the best wrestling show they had ever seen.", said AAW Marketing Director Gabriel Baron. "The internet wrestling community was all over the show with praise. Fans from all over the world wanted to see what all the fuss was about. That's when we thought 'How about making 'Epic' our first internet Pay Per View? That way, anyone in the world with an internet connection can see what AAW is all about!" AAW "Epic" will be broadcast on iPPV through Go Fight Live (www.gfl.tv) just a few days after the event takes place. It will be available as an "on demand" event that can be watched at any time, as many times as the viewer wants for one low price. "Go Fight Live was a natural fit for AAW as they are the industry leader in bringing combat sports action to fans all over the world through online streaming and have been in the business since its infancy.", said Gabriel. "They're every bit as revolutionary and cutting edge as we are. We couldn't be happier to be working with them." For fans who want to get a taste of what AAW is all about, there is a free one-hour highlight package of February's "Path of Redemption" show available right now at www.gfl.tv or for Roku owners on the Go Fight Live channel on their set-top box.

Along with AAW superstars Jimmy Jacobs, Silas Young, and Arik Cannon, fans of hardcore wrestling will get to see some legends live at "Epic" as well. "We went to the fans and asked who they would like to see in AAW's ring and the answer was unanimous - 'The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying maniac' Sabu!", said AAW Talent Director Jacques Baron. "Sabu is legendary to wrestling fans as one of the most athletically gifted talents of all time. The fact that he has complete disregard for his own and his opponents well being always guarantees that his matches are true professional wrestling 'highlight films'."  Another group of hardcore legends appearing at "Epic" is the trio of Stevie Richards, The Blue Meanie, and Nova - collectively known as the "Blue World Order" (AKA - bWo). "The bWo are fan favorites who haven't been in the Chicagoland area in over a decade.", said Jacques. "They are just as popular to fans now as they were when they first debuted several years ago. Again, another case of giving the fans what they want rather than what we think they want." Also on the card are women's wrestling superstar MsChif, AAW Champion Dan Lawrence, AAW Tag Team Champions Zero Gravity, and several other AAW superstars. "There's something for everybody on this show.", promises Jacques. "You like hardcore wrestling? It doesn't get any more hardcore than Sabu. You like high-flying? How about Zero Gravity defending their tag-team championship against the Irish Airborne in a ladder match? We're putting it all out there to show the world that AAW is the future of this business. We want to get noticed and take it to the next level!"

Getting noticed hasn't been a problem for AAW. After being featured in the Chicago Sun-Times, USA Today, and countless other media outlets, a celebrity fan recently came knocking on AAW's door. "I thought one of our guys was pulling a prank on me.", said Jacques. "I mean, never in our wildest dreams did we think a rock star of the caliber of Billy Corgan would be interested in being a part of AAW." Corgan, leader of Grammy Award winning rock band The Smashing Pumpkins, has been a lifelong professional wrestling fan. "Billy is as much a wrestling fan and historian as anyone I've ever met. He has a great mind for the business and sees the potential and talent that makes AAW what it is. For him to want to be involved with AAW for 'Epic' is the greatest compliment we could possibly receive." What Corgan's role is at "Epic" is still not clear to anyone, even AAW management. "Billy's got some ideas that are - quite frankly - just as revolutionary as his music. He's known to be a pretty secretive guy about anything and everything he is involved in, and this is no exception. All he told us is that he will be in attendance Friday night, May 13th and will be making an announcement about the future of AAW and that the less we know, the better. I guess we'll find out when everyone else does!"
