April 19, 2011 - PRLog -- MARLTON, N.J. – The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter tees off for its 11th Annual Spring Golf Classic on May 24 at Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill.  Participants can register and obtain information online at
http://2011SpringGolfClassic.kintera.org.  This year’s Presenting Sponsor is Brandywine Realty Trust , a real estate investment firm headquartered in Radnor, Pa.

Dr. Thomas A Cavalieri, Dean of the School of Osteopathic Medicine at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), will be honored at this year’s tournament.  Dr. Cavalieri is a recipient of the Kaleidoscope Award for Community Service and Increased Awareness.  Also being honored is George Sowa, the recipient of the Kaleidoscope Community Service Award through Philanthropic Excellence.  Sowa is executive vice president and senior managing director at Brandywine Realty Trust for the New Jersey and Delaware Region.

Golfers can take advantage of early-bird registration rates until April 30 – $375 for a single golfer slot, or $1,400 for a foursome.  Prices are $425/$1,500 after April 30.  The fee, a portion of which is tax deductible, includes cocktail party and buffet dinner.  

“More than 294,000 people in the Delaware Valley region currently suffer from Alzheimer’s or a related disorder and in South Jersey alone, more than 85,000 people are affected,” says South Jersey Executive Director Linda Coppinger.  “It’s events like this that enable our organization to raise money to support the free programs and services offered to the thousands of families in the 18 counties we serve as well as to advance important research into treatments and ultimately a cure.”

Registration begins at 11 a.m., with shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
