April 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Newport Beach, CA - - The majesty of the Queen Mary provides an incredible backdrop for the annual Ink-N-Iron Festival which is now in its 8th year on June 10 -12, 2011.  This eclectic festival has something for everyone and is sure to be a visual treat for the eyes.  The juxtaposition of Classic Pin-Up Girls in corsets with Kustoms and Hotrods and guys in cuffed jeans and styled hair provides a unique way to experience these art forms, learn more about their history and perhaps walk away with your own memento in the form of a tattoo, art work or other souvenir from the vast vendor village.

Over the course of the weekend, festival attendees will have the opportunity to attend art exhibitions, watch Internationally Acclaimed aerial pole showgirls, hear over 40 live bands, see Vaudevillian Cabaret shows, wander through an indoor and outdoor car show, check out the Pin-Up Pageant, Movies on the Green and check out a tattoo contest. On Saturday place your bid in the Pin Stripers Hootenanny-Charity Auction to benefit Alzheimer’s. It is fitting that the festival be held aboard the iconic Queen Mary as Long Beach has a long-standing reputation as the tattoo culture’s engine of the West Coast and the Queen Mary is the floating ambassador of Long Beach itself with her 1930’s glamour and legendary stories. Over 100,000 International guests have attended this event and the numbers keep growing as word of this singular event keep spreading.

Artists from all over the world will be displaying their love of art in a variety of forms including skin, paper, canvases, steel, performance and photography.  More information about the event and the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance may be had by going to the website for the event at www.ink-n-iron.com.  To vote for your favorite Pin-Up Girl for the Pageant, visit Ink-N-Iron on their Facebook Fan page to view the top 35 girls and vote.  You can also check out the line-up of bands playing which include The Paladins, Buzzcocks and The Sonics.

ABOUT INK-N-IRON:
