Gulf Coast Radio and Television Personality Launches 24/7 “Smooth Jazz” Internet Radio Station

April 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Mobile, AL (April 18, 2011) Nona Simmons, local radio and television veteran, and long-time friend and entertainer Maurice Young of Minneapolis to form Sky’s No Limit Communications, an Internet Radio Station playing jazz 24 hours a day on www.loudcaster.com/channels/527-snl-radio.  Simmons launched Sky’s No Limit Radio in February, and broadcasts live Monday-Friday from 6 pm-10 pm and Sunday from 1 pm-5 pm with the Smooth Jazz Café.

“What better place than where you began to bring back your passion for what you love than to bring your flavor of jazz music to the new medium of the internet,” said president Nona Simmons.

In addition to the 24-hour Smooth Jazz Station, Sky’s No Limit handles artist bookings, artist management and special event marketing. Young serves as the booking and entertainment manager.  Simmons serves as the concert promoter and special events marketing director.

When not being an entrepreneur, Maurice sings locally in Minneapolis with Ronn Easton All Star Soul Review, The Bachelors, doing memories of the Mills Brothers.  Young was a member of the Valdons.  He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Kessler Air Force Band.  He currently works for 3M Company in Minnesota.

A Pensacola, Florida, native, Simmons is known as the “Sister of Jazz” to Gulf Coast listeners and has a 30-year career in radio and television.  She hosted a weekly public affairs talk show for Clear Channel Television and was a jazz radio announcer for WDLT 98.3 in Mobile, AL.  Nona is a graduate of Brown Institute of Broadcasting in Minneapolis.  For more information, email SNL radio at radioskysnolimit@gmail.com.
