As a former broadcast journalist, Neighbors loves digging for the facts and doing research. Combining her interest in cemeteries, history and genealogy, she has come up with a blog that is growing in readership every day. Since her blog began almost three months ago, she has had over 1,500 readers from 20 countries, including the U.S., India, Singapore, Russia, China, Australia and Iran. Neighbors has scheduled out her blog topics a year in advance, although she can quickly change and rearrange when something comes up. Past topics have included Symbols of Love in the Cemetery (February 14,) Cemetery Superstitions (March 15,) and Graveyard Humor (April 1.) According to Neighbors, she tries to tie interesting subjects with the dates her entries will post, making them relevant and intriguing to readers. Upcoming posts include Strange Cemetery Trees that includes an interview with International Arborist, Larry Caplan; Weddings in the Cemetery, and Who Were the Woodsmen of the World, to name a few.
