About Prof. C K Prahalad (1941-2010)
This great son of India was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in 1941, he was 9th of the eleven children of a Sanskirt Scholar and Judge. Brought up in a family which treasured knowlege, Prof Prahalad completed his education from Loyola College Chennai, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Harvard Business School. He is known for his management works like "The Core Competence of the Corporation"
(co-authored with Gary Hamel) and Fourtune at the Bottom of the Pyramid. Among other important positions which he held in his life time Prof Prahalad was Distinguised University Professor at University of Michigan.
