Typar Geocells Provide Effective, Efficient Flood Protection in Selkirk, MB Canada  

(Nashville, TN) – April 15, 2011 – Typar Geocells Flood Protection Systems provided fast protection in light of emergency flood situations recently in Selkirk, MB Canada. During the mid-April flood, the city of Selkirk realized the need to quickly bridge a gap in their existing levee system near a local park. With the installation assistance of Bowser Construction, the city rapidly deployed Typar Geocells and successfully fortified the park and surrounding areas of Selkirk.

We were able to deploy a 15 foot section every 15 minutes with only five people,” said Bryan Bowser, President of Bowser Construction. “We laid the equivalent of 25,000 sandbags in ten hours and nobody broke a sweat. I was quite impressed.”
