April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Children of Narrabeen North Primary have created an incredible feat by raising over $10,000 to be donated to Cure our Kids!

Three and half years ago, a student from North Narrabeen unfortunately lost her battle with cancer and as result the school is completely behind supporting children’s cancer.

Most of the money was raised by the students getting donations and shaving their head as a show of their support for cancer, but they also sold Eveready Toy Story 3 boxes, for extra funds.

“It was an incredible donation from Eveready and I was personally very touched by their support to this cause. With the help of the Toy box sales, Narrabeen North Primary was able to raise over $10,000, which really is a wonderful achievement!”, said Allan Holliday, father of Jasmin, who passed away from Cancer.

Eveready® has come up with a brand new innovative way to make seriously ill children smile. With Easter on the way, the Eveready Easter Bunny has come early to Westmead Children’s hospital and they are gifting Toy Story 3 play boxes to children who are unwell or disadvantaged. Working mainly with Charities, Eveready’s three preferred charities are - Red Kite, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Cure Our Kids.

Many children are in love with Buzz Light Year and Woody from Toy Story and now sick children who are confined to the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Westmead Children’s Hospital and John Hunter Children’s Hospital can have their own Buzz!

“At Eveready we are honoured to have the opportunity to assist these wonderful charities in giving something fun to the kids that will bring joy to their day.

“The boxes will also be used for various fundraising activities by each charity, assisting to raise much needed funds, as seen by students at Narrabeen North Primary in honour of a former classmate”, said Eveready® Assistant Brand Manager, Vicky Anikolaitis.
