TFC show hosts Michi Valeriano of Adobo Nation and popular karaoke bar comedian Jesse chorused, “What about the last ‘C’”?
Seizing the opportunity with a steal, Helen hit the buzzer and exclaimed, “Charo Santos Concio!”
And with that correct answer, the ecstatic TFC subscriber and Seasons shopper went home not only with bags of goodies that she won for hurdling two prior rounds, but the wild, wacky trivia contest’s grand prize of a 32” LCD HDTV. Second prize went to Enrico Soriano and Grace placed third.
“I am so happy! My husband, Jose, just asked me to come with him today to Seasons to shop. We came all the way from Merced! And now I’m going home with this huge new TV!” Helen shared. Like Helen, her husband is an avid TFC viewer who was a finalist in last month’s “Tune-Ay Ka, Kapamilya, Labanang Karaoke,” a karaoke singing contest by TFC at Seasons MarketPlace.
“TFC Kapamilya Trivia: Matira Matibay (Toughest One Survives)” is the third straight show that TFC has brought to Seasons MarketPlace since both parties entered into a partnership as part of their joint community efforts in Milpitas. Seasons MarketPlace at Landess is the new retail and dining center opened by Ayalafil Management and the Seafood City Family of Companies in the heart of Silicon Valley. Last February, the mall unveiled the TFC Lounge which was created to be an interactive activity hub for TFC subscribers and an enhancement to the shopping community experience at Seasons.

The latest addition to the TFC-Seasons partnership is the Philippine Department of Tourism’s Kulinarya, a Filipino culinary showdown and search for the next top Filipino chef, which will be part of the monthly show of TFC at Seasons. Last Saturday, Chef Edgar Grajo, winner of the first Kulinarya contest held in San Francisco last year, prepared Fresh Lumpia Salad Roll with Avocado Aioli, Rellenong Manok with Bringhe Rice and Concasse Tomato Sauce, and Pineapple Bread Pudding with Banana Caramel Sauce for shoppers to sample after the TFC show.
“We are very fortunate to partner with TFC and Season’s Mall in holding our monthly Kulinarya contest. This brings greater awareness on our unique culinary products among the residents, and recognizes the talents of our Filipino chefs and foodies in the Bay Area”, said Tourism Director Rene de los Santos.
Taking part at last Saturday’s TFC show by donating prizes are other ABS-CBN International products and services like StarKargo, Telecoms and Starry Starry Store, Rod Mercado of Financial Rescue LLC who gave away $50 each to three winners of finance-related trivia questions, and Seasons tenants like Yellow Cab Pizza Co., Filipiniana Boutique, BPI Express Remittance, Farmers Insurance Agency and Banana Fashionland care of Seasons Merchant Relations consultant Girly Ramos.
