Preparedness Enables Instant Communication
If an emergency strikes in the Irvine Ranch Water District service area, you can be alerted by our new emergency notification system. IRWD has implemented CodeRED, a high-volume, high-speed system for mass emergency notifications.

"CodeRED allows us to contact customers the way they prefer to be notified - by phone, email, or text message," said Gina Jackson, IRWD Customer Service Manager. "We encourage all of our customers to register their preferred contact information so they are informed first-hand of any water-related emergencies."

CodeRED has the ability to send voice, email and text messages to thousands of customers within minutes and to the entire District within one hour and is both web and phone based. The CodeRED system also works in coordination with AlertOC and the County of Orange Emergency Notification System.

IRWD customers need to visit the newly created CodeRED page on our website to select their notification preferences which include voice, text messages and email. All numbers will remain confidential and will be used only to communicate emergency information.
