The successful applicant should include details of education and experience in Finance/Accounting.
o Manage and provide leadership to a small accounting /finance staff
o Understand and oversee the flow of financial transactions and provide support and leadership as required to all departments
o Practical experience with GL, A/P, A/R, and Payroll
o To provide knowledge and leadership in the preparation of all financial statements
o Responsible to maintain written policies and procedures
o Supervise housekeeping and building maintenance
o Assist Food and Beverage Director with Financials
o Must be able to work some flexible hours, days, evenings
o Reports to the General Manager
o Assists the President of the Board of Directors when required

The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following qualifications and or attributes:
o Minimum 5 years prior financial experience with at least 3 of these years spent in a senior level finance management position
o Completion of a Degree in Business or Public Administration or related field, or completion of CPA certification, or equivalent experience
o Demonstrated experience managing staff of finance/accounting including prioritizing work assignments and meeting deadlines
o Knowledge of restaurant operations an asset
o Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to relay information and knowledge
o Practical experience in hiring, performance reviews, motivation, coaching etc.
o Demonstrated experience working independently
o Excellent knowledge of MS office applications including Excel
o Practical experience in using application software (ACCPAC) an asset
o Ability to identify areas of concern and seeking appropriate solutions
o Ability to interface with software vendors as may be required
o Experience in the Health Club industry is an asset
o Demonstrate the ability to work in dynamic environment in a team supporting role
