New release of CORENA IETP with support for S1000D 4.0

April 14, 2011 - PRLog -- CORENA, a global leader in S1000D software and implementation services, announced today the release of Version 6.0 of its CORENA IETP software. The latest release features a new web client architecture that allows the sharing of core libraries and databases with CORENA S1000D and iSpec2200 as well as a stand-alone IETP configuration featuring an embedded database and web server.

CORENA IETP is a highly-flexible Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP) application that provides users with the ability to navigate, search, and view technical documentation in a customizable interface accessible through a user’s favorite web browser.

The CORENA IETP 6.0 release initially offers out-of-the-box support for S1000D Issue 4.0 with support for other S1000D Issues and ATA iSpec2200 support planned for later in the year. Meanwhile, support will continue to be provided for these specifications using CORENA’s already-fielded legacy CDROM/IETM application.

Because of CORENA IETP’s open architecture, customers can customize the presentation of their IETPs through XML-based style kits or can rely on CORENA’s experts to configure the IETP skins and styles according to corporate and/or program branding requirements.

CORENA IETP 6.0 has been timed to coincide with major new releases of CORENA S1000D (S1000D Common Source Data Base), CORENA PAGE (for PDF book generation), and CORENA IPC (for Illustrated Parts Data generation from a database). Demonstrations of the all-new CORENA IETP 6.0 will be provided on May 12/13 at the upcoming AIA Joint Services Technical Publications Workshop in Clearwater, Florida.
