PRLog - Apr. 13, 2011 - MCKINNEY, Texas -- In April, McKinney’s Painting with a Twist will host Painting with a Purpose, a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training, which has trained nearly half a million runners, walkers, triathletes, cyclists and hikers, and has raised over $2 billion to fund lifesaving cancer research. Help us to make a difference! Come and paint the Cracked Cross with a local artist!
In March they hosted their benefit for Arthritis Walk®, the Arthritis Foundation's nationwide team event that raises funds to fight arthritis. Their rallying cry, Let's Move Together, is a nationwide movement that encourages people to move daily for better health to prevent or treat arthritis. The event was well-attended by the community and Kimberly Cotton, owner of Painting with a Twist, was proud to be able to donate $750 to the cause.
The Painting with a Purpose ‘art as entertainment’
McKinney is one of 44 corporate franchises in ten states to open in two years, and its tried and true system is a winner! Over 100 artists work for Painting with a Twist studios, and they have created over 1,000 copyrighted paintings. These are included in the portfolio that is available to all studios and is reflected in the dazzling variety of selections offered to you on the studio calendars. All franchises hold both two and three hour daily and evening classes and they encourage you to check the calendar, choose a painting, reserve your spot online or by phone, come in for a great evening, and leave with a masterpiece!
At Painting with a Twist, a good time is had by one and all, wonderful memories are created, AND the customer leaves with a painting which he or she will proudly hang at home or give as a gift.
